2022 Encore: Small SUV’s Don’t Get Much Better

While Buick introduced the Encore GX in 2021 as a replacement for the current Encore, they decided to produce and sell both for the 2022 model year. This extra-small SUV is known for its spacious interior and comfort features as well as excellent performance and fuel economy, all at a price that won’t break the bank. If you’re in the market for your next commuter, the Encore should be at the top of your list. Here are the top features of the Encore 2022 to show why small SUVs don’t get much better.
Meet Preferred
For the 2022 model year, Buick will only be producing one single trim level for the Encore, and that’s the Preferred. This five-passenger SUV comes with deep-tinted glass, heated power outside mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, and LED daytime running lights. If that isn’t enough for you, consider adding available features to upgrade your Preferred. Available options include a power moonroof, a cargo area tray, accessory carrier hitch, and upgrading to 18-inch five-split-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with Midnight Silver finish.
Let’s Go
The 2022 Buick Encore gets an upgrade in horsepower for the new year. You get a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine turbo engine that delivers 155 horsepower, up from the previous 138 in 2021. This engine is paired with an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and variable valve timing plus spark ignition direct injection. Features to help you perform safely and with more confidence include the electric power steering and StabiliTrak stability control system. You can expect to get 32 mpg on the highway to keep you on the road longer and away from the pumps.
Look Inside
Upon entering the 2022 Encore, you’ll discover that Buick took its time designing the features to ensure comfort and convenience for both driver and passenger. You get a two-way manual front passenger seat, six-way power driver seat, and 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat to get everyone comfortable or carry a small load. The 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system comes with a six-speaker audio system and is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. Enjoy the keyless entry and extended range remote keyless entry, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear vision camera, and Wi-Fi hot spot.
Available features on the Preferred include a 120-volt power outlet, premium all-weather floor liners, premium carpeted cargo mat, remote start, and a cargo tray and net.
Stay Safe
Buick understands that safety is important when selecting a new vehicle and offers a plethora of standard and available safety and driver-assistance features to that end. Standard features include a four-wheel anti-lock braking system, Lower Anchor and Tether for Children (LATCH) system, and an advanced air bag system. You can also add forward-collision alert, front and rear park assist, lane departure warning, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert for added safety. Drive confidently in your new Preferred, knowing Buick has your safety covered. If you’re interested in checking out the 2022 Encore visit us at Classic Chevrolet Beaumont in Beaumont, TX.
