Had a $15.00 rebate coupon for a new battery & cabin air filter. Told the service writer I wanted the OEM filter. When I filled out the online forms, the battery rebate was approved, but the cabin air filter was denied. A closer look at the service paper work, It stated that "customer approved a new non-OEM cabin air filter. Installed a new cabin air filter." That is a total lie (#!). I was never asked & never approved a non-OEM filter. Had a phone conversation with David, Express Service Manager. He offered to install an OEM filter at my next service visit,. I told him there may not be a next visit, just give my $15.00 rebate. Said he couldn't manipulate the paperwork. I went to the dealership to speak to the General Manager, Ben Case. The receptionist summed David & Travis Pounds, GM Service Manager (if I recall his name). After a discussing several options, David pulled $15.00 cash from his pocket. They then gave me a CF1188F cabin air filter, claiming it is an OEM filter (it's made in China). After my own research, I found that a CF1188F filter is an ALTERNATIVE AFTERMARKET FILTER. Lie #2. An ACDelco CF188 is the DIRECT REPLACEMENT FILTER installed during production of the vehicle. I have replaced cabin air filters on other vehicles, so when I opened the cabin air filter housing door, I found a filter made in Mexico! I went to a different Chevy dealer & showed the 2 filters (the nCF1188F & the one from Mexico) to the parts guy. He said most dealers keep the one from Mexico in stock to install in used vehicles. The CF1188F is installed as a more budget friendly priced filter than the CF188 ACDelco GM OEM. I purchased the ACDelco CF188 OEM filter & installed my self. I bought my 2017 Silverado 1500 brand new, not used & has never been serviced anyplace other than Classic Chevrolet, Beaumont, TX. On top of all this, the right side of the filter housing door was not secured properly and the 2 bottom screws holding the glovebox in were tightened so tight that one had pulled completely through the hole in the tab that holds it in & the other screw was almost pushed through. How many other service customers have been given a filter they didn't ask for or approve? I will make one more attempt to speak to the GENERAL Manager or the FIXED OPERATIONS DIRECTOR & ask if they are aware of what takes place in their Service Department. I will edit this review if I get any response. But I will have my truck serviced elsewhere.

They discovered that our concern was covered by warranty after ours had run out. Fixed the problem with our glow plug for free!
